Counselling Options
|
|
|
Your First Appointment With Us (Intake Appointment)
With all our 'one-to-one' counselling options you will be
invited to come to the Centre for an Intake Appointment.
We ask that you come to this meeting at the Centre (lasting
up to an hour) to discuss what help you would like from
counselling. This is also an opportunity to discuss any
questions you may have. The meeting will be with one of our
Intake Counsellors. We understand that counselling may not be
easy for you and this session does not commit you to having
counselling with us.
Different counselling options and the fees involved can be
discussed at this time.
If you decide you would like counselling with
us we will allocate a counsellor to you - often within 2 - 4
weeks. Your Counsellor will usually be a different person than
at this first appointment. The cost of this Intake session
will be £12, payable when you arrive. |

Confidentiality
We recognise how important this is. All information you
disclose will normally be confidential within the Centre. There
are, however, limits to confidentiality as follows: Counsellors
discuss with supervisors their work with clients. Care is taken
to ensure that you will not be identified. Under exceptional
circumstances your counsellor may break confidentiality if there
are grounds for believing that serious harm may occur to you or
to any other person. Where possible your counsellor would
discuss this with you beforehand. if you are involved with the
courts or the legal system please mention this to your
counsellor. |
